I am LIVID!!!
What the heck is this world coming to? We’re getting reamed by the insurance agent on one end and the Healthcare spending account on the other. I am fed up!! Unfortunately I’m also exhausted because I was up at 2:30am for a phantom milk request and apparently there were some bare toes flaunting themselves which is illegal at that hour in that room. Then there was the 6:30 wake-up call to play limo driver for Mr. Tot’s wild ride to China. He’s just hoping he actually gets to his meeting in Beijing instead of some little tiny hotel 4 hours outside Beijing with no internet where they might decide to sequester him if someone 3 rows ahead of him happens to cough and snorts like a pig, or maybe if he’s just eating bacon. (And no, he’s not even there yet – poor guy.) And my 1 o’clock nap was interrupted after 7.4 minutes with a diaper change request. But I digress. I am LIVID.
We have had – they were cancelled because they were so crappy – SHPS Healthcare spending account for 2 miserable years. Basically you get a credit card/debit card for your medical expenses which you fund with pre-tax dollars. But you have to guess how much you’ll need as there are no refunds. I’m not quite sure what the point of having such a card is if you have to send in receipts for every single item I used it on anyway. AND THEN, to be told that those receipts that I sent in, the ONLY ONES I HAVE, are INSUFFICIENT!!! One of those receipts I even went to the hospital to get and it lists all the details of a surgery! But NOOOOOO, it’s not sufficient! Oh yes, and we OWE $1,131.68.
To top it off, I have one week to respond, (or they will adjust our W-2) which is the week my husband, the employee who could lodge a complaint with his company, is in freakin CHINA, quite possibly in QUARANTINE without internet!!!! Is the idiocy of this situation becoming clear to you yet? Can you do me a favor? Pester them!! E-mail sarah.bovine@shps.com and just cut and paste this paragraph if you want – fine with me!!! Evidently they don’t update their website to have current e-mail addresses. Either that, or they reject complaints out of hand. May hand to find a TV station to broadcast it across the land!!!
And the new company? Ceridian? We did not even make it half way through the year, and they are already requesting documentation for EVERY SINGLE transaction we have done so far. Oh, and we can’t use the card over the phone. Oh, and we can’t use the card online. What the …?!!!
Get with the 21st century! This does not bode well.
Anyone have any pull with SHPS? Or a major TV news producer? Or a really good hacker?
I haven’t even gotten to the car insurance fiasco yet – haven’t gotten all my bits and pieces together on THAT one for you yet. ARGHHH!!!!
