Time Out!!!

Just put the rest of my life on hold for a week and a half of busting my butt getting photo cards assembled for a Christmas in July sale.  In the middle of that, I spent the night at the sleep clinic with some 30 leads all over me.  Yes, there were sensors up my nose too. I warned them I might sleep walk or scream and made sure all my sensors would travel with me.  And they had audio and visual access, but apparently I stayed in bed for this experience.

SleepClinicTheir shift went from 7pm to 7am, so they put their patients to bed between 10 and 10:30 and wake them up between 5:30 and 6.  Oh joy.  Mr.Tot and I have no early morning requirements — his job is based in California, so our sleep schedule tends to be quite a bit later like midnight – 8am or later when I can get away with it.  I tossed and turned all night, but get this, they couldn’t wake me up until 7:30 because I was in REM sleep and it’s against their policy to wake someone up in REM sleep.  Bonus! Despite “sleeping” (or rather being in bed) 9 hours, I still felt like it was 5:30am.   Now the sale is over, and I stil haven’t gotten the results of the sleep clinic, though the technician did comment that some of my sleep behavior sounded like narcolepsy.  Now I am in catch-up mode for everything else ….  and I just put Tot to bed and I think I fell asleep before she did.  I was hoping to get back to blogging, about our vacation and a long list of other topics I’ve been accumulating, but….  I’m kind of worn out and brain dead.  Hopefully I will get back on track SOON!!   But I have Tot to myself this week, so survival is my main goal!  Please stand by…
